Had a long drive from Arusha to Dar es Salaam on the coast of Tanzania. The journey tookm 12 hours and we travelled through rural Tanzania which was picturesque but quite deprived and basic. Stayed at the house of the owner of the company we're with - Absolute Africa. We camped on top of the roof which looked out over the Indian Ocean which was pretty cool and saw local fishermen bringing their catches onto the beach early in the morning. We stayed there for two nights and had a seafood BBQ on the second evening. In the day we went to the market to look at souvenirs and local artwork, then went back to relax by the beach and prepare for the trip to Zanzibar.
