Ignore the picture for this blog, it has nothing to do with Rockhampton!!
We stopped off in Rockhampton as Steve's Godfather lived there. It was just a 2 night stopover following another trip on the Greyhound bus, which was more successful this time!!
Rockhampton didn't have a lot to offer to be honest! It was a really sleepy town, so sleepy even the shops were shut on a Saturday! Even all the supermarkets were shut before 4 in the afternoon. They are famous for their steak though and I did have a very nice steak in an Irish var (they seem to love their Irish bars in Australia!!). We also did a bit of bowling which I won even after not playing for a while! Yay!
It's also home to massive spiders and loads of horrid cockroaches!!! Not much else to say about Rockhampton!!
