We spent all yesterday in beautiful Dubrovnik Croatia, where we took a boat to a remote island and spent the day on the beach and hiking around the mountain. We made friends with the local people who work on the beach and spent the evening with them after everyone had left. They told us to camp near the beach, but when we got to the campsite we decided to stay ON the beach where it was soft and the waves were less than 2 meters away from us. we woke up at 5:30, and Thomas drove beautifully to Sarajevo, bosnia. we had our first real border crossing and ended up having to pay supplemental car insurance, even though we already had it. in Sarajevo we ate two entire plates of meat,and now are about to get in the car to drive to sofia bulgaria, and then tomorrow wake up early and go to istanbul where we will ahve a day or so break.
